About Me

Landy is a 25 years old dynamic sociologist from Madagascar. She did an excellent academic career, with a double master’s degree in sociology and in population and development, and a Bachelors degree in management. Her strong interest for health starts at the age of 18, when she worked as a peer educator at PSI Madagascar. Now, Landy works as a monitoring and evaluation consultant at Malagasy Raitra Consulting (MRC) -which is specialized in researches and development-, and already holds a 6 years professional experience in this area.
With a passion in mentoring, she is interested in development including reproductive health and gender, and has contributed in many researches in all regions of Madagascar for various organizations like PSI, UNDP or UNFPA.
Landy Miary DANIEL ANDRIANAIVOSOA enjoys working with young people, that led her to integrate the association FEMMES Jeunes UNIes Opérant pour la Relève (FEMMES JUNIOR), -which aims to promote young women leadership and empowerment- and she proved her leadership abilities in being the general secretary of the association later. She is also the treasurer of the RESEAU DES FEMMES ARTISANES DE LA PAIX (REFEMAP), the women peacemaker network in Madagascar.
Recently, she was committed to be an action partner for the Oxfam International youth partnership (OIYP) with other 300 young people around the world. She was also selected to be one of the 25 most outstanding women leaders of less than 25 in Africa by the Moremi Initiative and participated to the Moremi Initiative for Leadership Empowerment And Development (MILEAD) in 2011
Landy wants to continue her studies by enrolling in a PhD program and to contribute, as a women leader, to the development in Madagascar.
She believes that women are the backbones of the development, and that even one person can make the difference.
