My long term goal is to help my media organization by gaining expertise about various cross-cultural trends, concerns so that listeners and readers may be better informed. Wide range of perspectives provided through dialogue with professional colleagues, participation in seminars and meetings with scholars ,business and government decision makers, social activists ,cultural analyst and others, I would be able to address how my country at sociocultural level is responding to a significant and challenging issues. At campus level, I began to involve in Environmental Conservation and Journalism. In 1998, I started my career as a Reporter of magazine “Environmental Forum” published by Youth Awareness Environmental Forum (YAEF), Kathmandu, Nepal which is the first environmental magazine published from Nepal. Afterwards from 2000-2002, I have worked for Abhiyan and Rajdhani National Daily. My main responsibilities included reporting for environmental and health issues. I am interested in making effective reporting and monitoring different activities which play a vital role for better ethics of journalism. It is totally a print media platform where my involvement was substantially with farmers in the field, students in school, and disadvantaged communities especially in rural areas. I started planning with them for better awareness about environmental and heath at local level. It was a bottom up approach. I began to realize that any change in communities is impossible without the improvement in awareness planning and implementation in terms of journalism. I have experience of interviewing, reporting, writing stories, articles and scripts. As a broadcast journalist I was an employee of Environment Cycle Radio (F.M.) 104.2MHz as a Program Officer. In the department I worked for the production of Radio Magazines. Every indigenous wisdom for conservation of the environment found to be a major component in my journalistic path. Going to field in rural as well as urban areas for this attempt is highly challenging but I never escaped out of this. My key focus area is to create public awareness about environmental and health concerns. Because my teams in depth reporting about air pollution in Kathmandu (Nepal’s Capital City) due to exhausted gas from Bikram Tempos, policy makers of Kathmandu couldn’t turn a blind eye towards this problem. Finally they acted to eliminate such vehicles out of valley three years ago. This is the greatest achievement in my career. Now I am working as Program Director of United Efforts, Nepal.
