About Me |
'Remi Oladele Worked for the National Committees of AIESEC (International youth exchange NGO) in Nigeria, Gabon and France between 1997 and 2003, assisting with people development, organizational and change management, partnership building, education and training in CSR and International/ sustainable development. Worked also intermmitently with the Embassy of Nigeria in Libreville as Consular Attaché between 2000 and 2002.He holds a Ph.D. degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from the Centre for Diplomatic and Strategic Studies of the "Ecole des Hautes Etudes Internationales" (HEI), Paris. He is Executive Officer at the Permanent Delegation of Nigeria to UNESCO since July 2005.
Motivation:
The world, in some interlocking process, is faced with diverse development challenges that only an efficient combination of the much available human, knowledge, financial and natural resources can ensure that the progress of positive development, which considers every factor and identify properly the roles and adequate involvement of every stakeholder, with respect for diversity, is attained. Remi says that is why he is particularly interested in that much cited and less defined line of profession "Development Management" . He also sees the continuous assumption of a leadership role in the creation of awareness on the social, economic and ecological implications of sustainable development and more direct involvement in the pragmatic and result oriented actions to checkmate the challenge of underdevelopment as areas he should focus his interest, as a way of contributing to the achievement of a secured future for our common and only home, the planet.
There is a great deal of wisdom in the statement of Helen Keller, which says: "Many persons have a wrong idea of what constitutes real happiness. it is not attained through self-gratification but through fidelity to a worthy purpose:" Man has been proved to possess immense creative energies. The struggle for success however has not started until a man begins the search for his own specific creative energies, as well as the opportunity to use them for the service of Humanity".
