 About Me |
I graduated from the University of NOrthern British Columbia in Prince George BC Canada with a BSc in Forestry and a minor in International Studies. I had a few very inspiring teachers that helped me realize that your power is only as great as you make it. I worked several years for the forest industry before realizing that I could not contribute to the loss of Canada's virgin boreal forests. They called to me and made me appreciate nature in a way that can not be verbalized. So I started to volunteer to get experience so I could work for environmental groups. I worked/interned for several groups such as Falls Brook Centre (www.fallsbrookcentre.ca), Forest Stewardship Council (www.fscoax.org) and the Silva Forest Foundation (www.silvafor.org). Finally I landed a job working for the Taiga Rescue Network and contributing to the conservation of Northern Boreal Forests has always been a dream of mine.
