About me
The future of the young ones and the youth is my major concern. I am a youth activist and and always thinking if ideas and plans that will give us a brighter future.
I am especially interested in helping needy children.
I am currently working on a project aimed at assisting the areas of my community
where child education is very low. The reason for this is that there is so much poverty and people are forced at a young age to find a way to take care of themselves and their families. As a result their education is neglected.
It will start with my community and if there is progress I will extend to other communities who need that sort of help.I have been through that situation and will not like others to also go through that same difficulty.
Making peace is part of me and one of my projects.I am a co-founder of STAND UP FOR PEACE, a youth advocacy group in Tamale-Ghana whose aim is to preach peace for the coming election and after the election in Ghana here. This programme is to remind the youth of Tamale/Ghana on the need to embrace peace for development.
Talking about my hobbies,I like traveling to new places, learning about new things especially other peoples culture exchanging gifts, making kids happy is part of me.Making new friends and inviting them to my lovely country is what I like too.because I want to make them see and feel the culture and tourism that we have here in Ghana like the waterfalls, games reserves/parks,slave camps and many more.We also have the best hospitality in the world and if you want to visit Ghana, be my guest.
I completed Senior High School in 2004 at Ghana Senior High School(GHANASCO), in Tamale/Ghana.I offered General Arts and during my stay in school, I was the president of geography club,I took part in a Regional Constitution Game competition,as part of my contribution to the Civic Education Club which I was the treasurer.I also took part in a Regional Peace March on Independence day (6th of March,2004) through Peace Club which I was an active and influential member.I was a founding member of the Ghanasco Gender Club and a ranking member of the Child Right club. This is what I can remember for now.In 2005, I participated in a five-week computer workshop which I, together with others, were trained on introductory courses in Computer from July 6th to August 31th. I am also a well trained Tailor/dressmaker.
In November the same year, I was enrolled in a non-governmental computer institute called Bibir Computer Institute for four and half weeks in Data/Information Management (DIM) including Ms-windows ,Ms-excel, Ms-word, Ms-access. In September 2006, I underwent a 3 week intensive course in Radio programme presentation, programme compilation, radio disc jockeying, news casting and news gathering at Radio Justice here in Tamale/Ghana by Magic Media Consult.I am on attachment in Rock FM in Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region.I am in the newsroom and also present local programs.
currently, I am a third and final year student reading Diploma In Basic Education (DBE) in a Teacher Training College here in Ghana at Navrongo in the Upper East Region-St.John Bosco's College of Education.I became the organising secretary of the Northern Region Students Union (NORSU), organising secretary of the Ghana Muslim Students Association (GMSA) of Bosco's Chapter and the Entertainment prefect of the College.
I intend now to do more concerning the helping of the needy kids to achieve their educational goals since education is the main route to progress in life.
so I am still trying to make my organisation to grow very well so that I will be able to help as many communities as possible and I welcome anyone who wish to be part of it.
I leave you with my favourite motivational quote "Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success.
If you love what you are doing, you will be successful."
