 About Me |
Sustainable Development has always been my passion. I have co-founded some months ago an NGO that is called PIDES. PIDES stands for “Integral Platform of Sustainable Development”. The project I am dedicating my time into right now is a project towards COP16 called “Youth and Climate Change”. The objective of this project is to make youth aware of the important of the topic and create different participation spaces for youth regarding climate change. I am working in bringing together different youth representatives together to talk about their agendas towards COP16 and to be able to create synergy among themselves.
The core of this project is to empower youth so they can be able to participate actively in projects related to Climate Change and have an active role in different conferences and round tables that bring youth and government together to talk about Climate Change.
One of the first stages of this project is a Cycle of Round Tables regarding Climate Change in the most important universities in Mexico. This will allow youth to come together and talk about their position towards COP16 and express what youth is doing and should to be part of the solution of Climate Change. We will work actively with the student councils of each university to ensure ownership of the students of each university and the round tables.
I am aslo part of the British Council´s Climate Champions program and plan to use this program to expand the impacts of my projects.
