 About Me |
Since a young age, Ilyes enjoyed getting involved in his community. Whether it was with non-profit organizations such as Impact Entrepreneurship Group and AIESEC, volunteer at Hema-Quebec or for MOMENTUM, Ilyes has contributed to better his community and to inspire youth to create positive change.
In high school, Ilyes enjoyed devoting much of his time to his community through his role as Student Representative in various contests and conferences.
Concerning his hobbies and interests, Ilyes likes sciences, sports, poetry and literature.
Ilyes firmly believes that youth must realize they are global citizens and that, as a collective force, they have the ability to make great positive changes in our local and global society and thus, to be the change they wish to see in the world.
Ilyes was also part of the Creating Local Connections team where he served as the Quebec Virtual Engagement Coordinator.
CLC Canada is an integrated three-year program (2006-2009) with a goal of inspiring, informing, and involving youth as engaged participants in Canadian society through: awareness and access, collaboration and communication, and capacity building initiatives.
The goals of the CLC Canada program were:
• To raise awareness and provide access to youth opportunities and resources
• To connect and encourage collaboration between youth/youth initiatives
• To strengthen the capacity of youth/youth initiatives in Canada
Recently, Ilyes has launched a project called "MOMENTUM: Mission, Passion, Expression". He is the co-founder of this website and magazine aimed at connecting young leaders from all around the world to network and help each other. Depuis son jeune âge, Ilyes trouvait du plaisir à s'impliquer dans sa communauté. Que ce soit auprès d'organisations à but non lucratif telles que IMPACT et HÉMA-QUÉBEC, Ilyes a déployé des efforts considérables en vue de contribuer au progrès de sa collectivité et afin d'inspirer d'autres jeunes et de les encourager à s'engager dans des projets prometteurs.
Ilyes est passionné par la science et la technologie entre autres.
Au secondaire, Ilyes consacrait beaucoup de son temps à sa communauté et à son école en la représentant dans divers congrès et dans de nombreux concours et conférences.
Concernant ses loisirs et intérêts, Ilyes aime les sciences, les sports, la poésie et la littérature.
Ilyes croit fermement que les jeunes doivent réaliser qu'ils sont des citoyens "globaux". De plus, il croit fortement que les jeunes, comme force collective, sont aptes à faire la différence dans leurs sociétés locale et globale et ainsi, à être le changement qu'ils souhaitent voir dans le monde.
Par ailleurs, Ilyes a fait partie de l'équipe CLC-Canada où il occupait le poste de Coordinateur de l'engagement en ligne au niveau de la province de Québec.
Liaisons locales Canada est un programme de trois ans dont l’objectif est de promouvoir et d'appuyer la participation des jeunes Canadiens.
Les objectifs du programme étaient les suivants:
• Accroître la prise de conscience des jeunes et leur offrir un accès à des opportunités et à des ressources pertinentes;
• Aider les jeunes à se mettre en réseau et encourager la collaboration entre eux ou entre les initiatives jeunesse;
• Renforcer les capacités des jeunes et des initiatives mises en oeuvre par les jeunes;
Récemment, Ilyes a lancé un projet appelé "MOMENTUM: Mission, Passion, Expression" destiné aux jeunes leaders de partout dans le monde. Ce projet consiste en un magazine et un portail web dont le but est de regrouper les jeunes leaders pour qu'ils soient en mesure de réseauter et de s'entraider.
