About Me |
I work on the Make Your Mark Campaign - a government-funded, business-led campaign to promote enterprise culture amongst British youth. And we like to think about enterprise in the broadest sense: having an idea and making it happen, whether in a new business start-up, a social enterprise or as an innovator in the workplace.
One of our signature activities is Enterprise Week and I'm currently working on setting up a global Entrepreneurship Week for November 2008.
The goal: For one week, millions of young people around the world will join a growing social movement of entrepreneurial people to generate new ideas and seek better ways of doing things, for both business and social aims. It is a global initiative to inspire young people to embrace innovation, imagination and creativity. To think big. To turn their ideas into reality. To make their mark.
Entrepreneurship Week will connect young people everywhere through local, national and global activities designed to help them explore their potential as self-starters and innovators. Students, educators, entrepreneurs, business-leaders, employees, government officials and many others will participate in a range of activities to tap into the energy of social networking, to connect people taking action in their local and global communities, and to celebrate entrepreneurship across the globe. It's about education, empowerment, inclusion, productivity, regeneration and sustainability.
If you're interested in getting involved in any way, e.g. being an ambassador for the campaign, do let me know!
