About Me

Ayubowan! (May you live long!)

I am Charuni Senanayake, a former Visakhian from Colombo. I have graduated from Shanghai Medical College last year in Medicine, and hoping to continue my studies in Master of Public Health in England.

I simply love writing about different youth issues and their problems. I have been actively involved in the UNICEF-VOY page providing articles about our ethnic problem.
At the same time I have been involved in creating a better VOY page for the International Youth.

At school I was involved in the campaigning against SMOKING a project created by ADIC organization. I was a member of the Interact club and was involved in many inter-school projects like Talent Search, and fund raising.

In China I was involved in lecturing the people about Prevention of Diseases like Diabetes, Hypertension, AIDS run by the Public Health Organization attached to the community of Shanghai.

Today I am involved in Personality Development of our Youth. I hope to carry out educating our youth on different issues, like how to cope with mental stress, interviews, unemployment, alcohol, drugs, rape, and love. I want to fight against suicide; I want every youth to understand how valuable the life really is.

I am currently leading the WSIS-SL Youth with 3 other exciting youth leaders, an organization which truly understand the heart beat of the youth in SL. We are also working with the South Asian Youth Leaders in making a structure for South Asian WSIS youth which can motivate not only the Youth in Sri Lanka, but also the Youth of this region.

At the same time I look forward to the development of the ICT and digital opportunities of this country. Every youth should have an access to the Internet, English and other facilities whenever possible.

I love slow music, and any meaningful love song. I enjoy watching movies a lot.
I love singing and dancing, and hanging out with my friends.

My ambition is to do something for the youth of my country during my life within my capacity.
