About Me |
I currently work for aids2031 - a two-year research project that will issue recommendations on how to build a long-term, sustainable response to AIDS.
Previously I worked for the Global Youth Coalition on HIV/AIDS, where I taught GYCA's e-courses in Project Management, Political Advocacy, and Grantwriting/Fundraising. I've been involved in youth AIDS work for awhile - during college I was the Marketing Director of the NYC Student Initiative for AIDS and a member of their Board of Directors. I spent four months in Accra, Ghana volunteering at the West Africa AIDS Foundation, where I led an AIDS awareness project that included the creation of a hip-life song, music video and free concert. I also interned with Médecins Sans Frontières 's Access to Essential Medicines Campaign.
I'm interested in journalism and photography, so I do some of that on the side. Check out Talking With Pictures - http://www.nyu.edu/africahouse/foreverybody/talkingwithpictures.
I graduated from New York University with a B.A. in History and Comparative Literature, and being originally from Virginia, have a completely understandable obsession with pie.
