About Me

I am a Language Arts teacher at Lovejoy Technology Academy. I teach 9th - 12th grade. Lovejoy, also known as Brooklyn, is the oldest African American town in existence. It played an important role in the Underground Railroad.

I am married and have two adult sons. I grew up in Columbus, Georgia, and left with my husband who was in the Air Force. He retired from the service here in Illinois. I enjoy reading, playing the piano, and working in my flower garden.
