 About Me |
Originally from Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Carmen Braden is a composer, performer, sound designer, and acoustic ecologist. She received the International Baccalaureate from Lester B. Pearson United World College, and has a Bachelor of Music from Acadia University. Carmen is a working musician with a love for the sonic environment. Her interest in local, national and global soundscapes has led her to create music influenced by the people she has met and places she has lived and visited. Other interests include jazz piano, SCUBA diving, international travel, carpentry and vocal music from the 16th Century. An avid outdoor enthusiast, Carmen is particularly happy when spending time in nature, particularly on a frozen lake, with her field recording equipment.
