About Me

My name is Carey and I'm 19 year old.

I am attending post-secondary in January 2010. I plan to attend Humber College to take the Child and Youth Worker program. I enjoy helping others, especially youth and people with Developmentally Delayed Disabilities.

My true passion is to help others. In my 4 years of High School, I have taken Co-operative Education twice in the Independent Living Program (ILC). This program helps senior students from the ages of 14-21, who have Developmental Delayed Disabilities, it teaches them to do activities more independently. Ever since I first started doing a placement there, I've also volunteered during my free time i.e. lunch, spares etc...

I haven't really travelled anywhere outside of Canada, so this is a great opportunity for me. Although, I've always been fascinated about traveling, the time has never come until now and I couldn't be more excited.

Looking forward to participating on this life changing experience to Guatemala in November 2009.
