 About Me |
CAMYOSFOP is an NGO founded on non partisan and non profit making and aimed at promoting moral and traditional values to youths in Cameroon and else where. H er ideology is fear of the lord, friendship, harmony and amicable resolution of conflicts in fora. CAMYOSFOP uses her instrument of theatre, music and a newsletter 'The Voice of Peace' in passing through her ideology. At the moment CAMYOSFOP has peace clubs with some colleges in Yaounde- clubs that have existed for close to three years. At the moment CAMYOSFOP in collaboration with the North West Chapter of the National Commission on Human Rights and Freedoms are setting up pilot peace clubs in the city of Bamenda
One of the greatest achievement of CAMYOSFOP is that in July 2004, her Executive Director, Ngalim Eugine Nyuydine, was nominated by the UNDP as the UNDP Youth Spoke's Person for Africa 2015 (MDGs). In August 2005, during the Second Pan African Youth Leadership Summit, Ngalim was one of the ten Laureates considered for King Mohammed VI and UN Award on Youth led MDGs related projects. The project submitted by CAMYOSFOP was titled; Campaigning against the availability and misuse of war toys, firecrackers, small arms and violent films in Yaounde.
In the main time in june 2005, CAMYOSFOP Public Relations Officer, Ndi Mercy, was nominated by the Ministry of Youth Affairs as the Commonwealth Youth Representative of the Commonwealth Youth Caucus of the African Region. With all these credits to CAMYOSFOP vision of Peace, CAMYOSFOP begin to see some hope in the Horizone inspite of the numerous conflicts plaguing our planet earth.
