About Me

I have been teaching for the past 22 years in the Business Education Department. For the past six years, I have been a part-time business teacher and part-time technology specialist. I have assisted teachers with class projects such as webpages, newsletters, brochures, business cards, multimedia, movies, etc. I have taught Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, etc. In addition, I frequently instruct lessons on any new software that is implemented into our district. For example, Skills Tutor, Plato, MyAccess, Online gradebook, etc.

I have incorporated wikis, discussion boards and podcasts in my own business education classroom as studyguides, colloborative writing projects, etc. and have had success with these projects. I also use Moodle as a daily tool for my Introduction to Business class. My students take quizzes online and post assignments, etc. using this tool.

My goal is to stay on top of the current technology trends and allow my students to learn to use their critical thinking skills and problem solving skills.
