BVO offers meaningful volunteer opportunities aiming to find alternative
solutions to issues of education, Orphanage Homes, Health, and
Environment. Through volunteering, volunteers can develop solutions to
issues in the Nepali community and also experience a memorable and unique
adventure.

Here at BVO we seek to provide a unique experience which combines
volunteering and other activities to give you a greater understanding of
Nepali culture which you can then use in your work as a volunteer.

Our program-
-Teaching English at school (government/private boarding)
-Home-stay and cultural exchange programs (all over Nepal)
-Assist in Orphanage Home
-Teach and learn at monastery
-Primary health care and medical program (assist at health post or
hospital)
-Working in agricultural fields
-Work at disabled care house
-Teaching sports at school
-Environmental awareness
-Health and sanitation issues
-School and community maintenance
-Social work with local youth club and organization

Volunteers are welcome to design their own program in a variety of areas.
If youwould like to work in a particular field we will support you to
arrange all the necessary things.

Program Location-
Our volunteer placements are available in Kathmandu valley, Pokhara,
Chitwan and Hetauda.All of the placements are nearby a major city or town.
Generally we will choose the location of your volunteer placement
according to demand, however, we can also discuss a particular placement
in accordance with your needs and interests taking into account the safety
of our volunteers and availability of placements.

Program Requirement-
We do not ask for any formal qualifications from our volunteers.All we
ask is that you have a genuine desire to help people and are willing to
experience a new culture and lifestyle.

Program schedule-
Our programs run throughout the year. You can volunteer from 2 weeks and
up to 5 months.We are quite flexible with program starting dates.

Training-
-Basic Nepali language classes (2-3 Hours)
-Nepali Cultural information (1 Hour)
-Information about adjusting in a Nepali family
-Sight-seeing around Kathmandu Valley" (UNESCO world Heritage sites)
-Different Nepali Dinners with BVO staffs

Note- Training length will be according to your stay. It ranges from two
days for two weeks up to three weeks for five months. Training will be in
two phases the first phase will be at a Hotel (where you will stay during
the training period) near by BVOs office, and the second phase will be in
Dhulikhel/Sanga village.

Program Fee-
2 weeks is 340 Pounds
4 weeks is 480 Pounds
6 weeks is 530 Pounds
8 weeks is 580 Pounds
10 weeks is 635 Pounds
12 weeks is 685 Pounds
16 weeks is 790 Pounds
20 weeks is 930 Pounds

Your program fees cover pretty much everything except bottled water and
booze.
This includes-

2 week Volunteer and Experience Nepal program-
The cost covers-
-All of the transportation cost including airport pick-up and drop-off
-Welcome dinner on your arrival day with BVO staff
-2 days orientation in language, culture and your particular volunteer
project
-4 major sight-seeing spots in Kathmandu + Entrance fees - Kathmandu
Durbar square, Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath, and Swoyambhunath (World
heritage Places)
- Accommodation and food during training period and your entire placement
- Supervision by BVO staff to placement
- Two phone calls to you in your placement each week of your stay
- Administration and government tax
- Chitwan National Park visit for 2 days (Elephant ride to see the One-Horn
Rhinoceros and Royal Bengal Tiger, canoeing, visit to baby elephant
centre, Tharu
Cultural Dance, Tharu village tour, Jungle walk with guide etc.)
(Food and drink does not include)
-Transportation cost back to Kathmandu from your placement
- Good bye dinner with a Nepali gift + last day's accommodation at Hotel

2 Week Program-
Program go as follows-
First day arrival - Welcome dinner with staff
2nd Day - Language training + Sightseeing + Cultural information
3rd Day - Language training + Sightseeing + Family stay information
4th Day - Staying with a local family and volunteering
5th Day to 10th Day - Volunteering (Your chosen program)
10th Day - Going to Chitwan and National Park activities
12th Day - Chitwan National Park
13th Day - Back to Kathmandu and report writing
14th Day - Good bye dinner

4 Week Program Volunteer and Experience Real Nepal Program.
The cost covers;

- 6 major sight-seeing spots in Kathmandu + Entrance fees - Kathmandu Durbar

- Accommodation and main meals during training period and placement
- Two trips by BVO staff to volunteer on placement
- Two phone calls for each week of your placement
- Rafting - one and half days
- Trekking - 4 days
- Chitwan National Park visit for 2 days (Elephant ride to see the One-Horn
Rhinoceros and Royal Bengal Tiger, canoeing, baby elephant centre, Tharu
Cultural Dance, Tharu village tour, jungle walk etc. (not including food
and drink)
- Administration and Government tax
- Good bye dinner with a Nepali gift + last day's accommodation at Hotel

4 week program goes as follows-
- 5 days Language training - staying at Hotel and family
- 12 days volunteering - staying with a local family
- 3 days Jungle activities - staying at Hotel in Chitwan
- 4 days trekking - staying in tea house
- 1 and half day rafting - camping at the bank of river
- 2 days traveling up and down river.
- 1 day feed-back and good bye party.
6 week Volunteer and Experience Nepal program-
The cost covers-
- Transportation to and from Kathmandu Airport + Welcome dinner
- 6 days orientation in Language, culture and project in two phases
- 6 major sight-seeing in Kathmandu + Entrance fees - Kathmandu

- Chitwan National Park visit for 3 days - Elephant ride to see the One-
Horn Rhinoceros and Royal Bengal Tiger, canoeing, baby elephant centre,
Tharu Cultural Dance, Tharu village tour, jungle walk, jeep safari and 20
thousand Lake (not including food and drink)
- 7 days trek to Annapurna region + Pokhara stay
- Administration and Government tax
- Good bye dinner with a Nepali gift + last day accommodation in Hotel

6 week program goes as follows-
- 7 days language training - staying at Hotel and family
- 18 days volunteering - staying at family
- 3 days jungle activities - staying at Hotel in Chitwan
- 7 days trekking - staying at tea house
- 2 days rafting - camping at the bank of river
- 3 days traveling up and down river
- 1 day feed-back and good bye party

8 week Volunteer and Experience Nepal program-

- 8 days Language training - staying at Hotel and family
- 25 days volunteering - staying at family
- 4 days jungle activities - staying at hotel in Chitwan
- 9 days trekking - staying at tea house
- Three days rafting - camping at the bank of river
- 4 days traveling up and down river
- 1 day feed-back and good bye party
- 2 days break - Free days............

NOTE:-For more than 8 weeks program,we always take into account the volunteers
interest so on volunteers arrival we will discuss and make the schedule.

Your fee does not cover-
-Bottled water and your personal expenses (phone call, Internet, fax,
extra food)
-Your flights or visas (a 60 day tourist visa is only US$30, the
extensions are
US$30 per 30 days with three possible renewals)
-Travel insurance, police check, and corresponding airport departure taxes.
