About Me

I have over 11 years experience in providing strategic marketing and communications counsel to both national and international organizations. I have worked as a marketing and public relations practitioner in both the private and public sector with organizations such as Gulf Canada Resources Limited, Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, McGill University Health Sciences Centre, and Corporate Communications Limited. Since 1998 I have held the position of Communications Officer with the Coady International Institute - managing all internal and external communications for the Institute. My work in Canada focuses on media relations, community relations, public education and relationship management.
My position at the Coady Institute has provided me with the opportunity to visit communities in Kenya, Ethiopia and Egypt in order to document the positive impact our educational programs have had on development workers - and in turn, how the 'Coady experience' has helped these community leaders to improve the lives of thousands of women, men and children.

I hold a Bachelor of Public Relations from Mount Saint Vincent University and a BBA (Management) from StFX University.
