About Me |
Civil Society and Human Right Activist who has been Networking with active youth activists and human right defenders in Bo, Kenema, Kono, Moyamba, Kabala, Makeni and Freetown. Hajie Bah has experiences in Violence and human suffering in Sierra Leone civil war also come from the most depress slum community in Freetown, for the past Ten years has been active in advocating and lobbying for youths and children in Sierra Leone more especially policies that will impact on the development of young people. Mr. Bah have been working with positive organizations in Sierra Leone, such as Forum of Conscience, Center for Coordination of Youth Activists, Ministry of Youth & Sports etc. Mr. Bah was elected as Public Relation Officer (PRO) for West Zone Youth Committee as part of the formation of the National Youth Council also elected as Mobilizing and Organizing Officer for the Freedom of Information Coalition-Sierra Leone (FOIC-SL) etc.
Presently serving as the National Coordinator-Network Movement for Youth and Children Welfare-Sierra Leone (NMYCW-SL) and Chairman: Western Area –Campaign for Just Mining –Sierra Leone (CJM-SL)
Network Movement for Youth and Children Welfare Sierra Leone is a civil society and human right organization that works towards youth and children welfare. NMYCW-SL was established in 2004 to develop and implement programmes that help alleviate the suffering of children and youths affected by deny of their Economic Social and Cultural Right (Human Rights) such as education, water and sanitation, food etc.
NMYCW-SL is member of several Coalitions/Alliances and working closely with local institutions and international partners:
such as Freedom of Information Coalition Sierra Leone(FOIC-SL),Global Call to Action Against Poverty Coalition in Sierra Leone(GCAP-SL), Coalition of Community Youth Animators on HIV/AIDS(CCYAHA) Campaign for Just Mining (CJM-SL),Western Area Human Right Committee.Etc
CJM-SL is an Alliance of several CSOs, CBOs, Affected Land Owners, Human Rights & Environmental Activist Etc.
Vision: All Sierra Leonean should benefit from our proceeds coming from our mineral resources.
Goal: Improved quality of life for poor in mining communities in terms of access to income, services and infrastructure.
