About Me   About Me
Currently employed with Comat, an IT business solutions company that serves government, healthcare and legal support services industries and is headquartered in Bangalore. The company has received Red Herring Asia Top 100 Private Companies award recently and specializes in E-Governance projects through its partners in business and government, My role is to explore and develop IT-based improved healthcare options partnering with entities from private, NGO and government sectors. In my earlier assignment with PATH India, I was part of the technical assistance team in Inter-Personal Communication (IPC) related to HIV/AIDS prevention and risk reduction to the Gates-funded AVAHAN Program. I served as the focal point for incorporating IPC in the nationwide truckers’ program and developed an IPC intervention led by genuine peers from the truck driver and helpers community. This work was felicitated by an invitation for Poster presentation at XVI International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2006), Toronto, Canada. Within UN framework, earlier as part of a Joint UN initiative to reduce young womens’ vulnerabilities to STIs/ HIV in India, I have earlier anchored the project management activities and have contributed to the establishment of community led monitoring and evaluation in this programme. I have managed interfaces of non-profit and “for profit” sectors during my stint with GIVE Foundation. I was part of the set-up team for an online “Charity Exchange" and developed “due diligence” standards to identify credible and transparent organisations for support by online donors. I am also an international trainer for Stepping Stones, the acclaimed community based training package in gender, HIV and communication skills. I have to my credit a post-graduate degree in management as well as a degree in international human rights, humanitarian laws and refugee law.
