He participated in the Leadership and Entrpreneuship training organized by the duo of the Centre for Leadership and Citizenship Training and Federal Ministry of Youth Development in 2009. He was a student participant/speaker at the 7th Year Anniversary of Covenant University on ‘Facilitating Development through entrepreneurship: new directions from the higher education context in Africa’ in October 2009. He was on the medical students’ team that presented the ‘Distinguished Personality Award’ to the renowned neurosurgeon, Dr. Ben Carson when he visited Nigeria in January 2009. He led a 13-man team to organize credible free and fair elections that culminated in the restoration of the Obafemi Awolowo University Students’ Union, Ile-Ife in 2008. He leads the Medical Education Campaign [MEDUC], medical rights’ group, through national press campaigns and strategic meetings to promote quality medical education and reduce medical tourism from the country in order to achieve the health-related goals of the MDGs. His writing prowess led him to serve on many editorial boards including student’s fellowships, Resident boards, and as the Secretary and Deputy Editor of the IFEMED Journal Club, College of Health Sciences, OAU between 2007 and 2009 during which the Club became a registered member of the prestigious African Journals Online AJOL, the conglomeration of all medical journals from Africa. He is a member of the Freelance Writing International Organization and Freelance Writers Database and contributes articles to Helium.com, Triond.com, Suite101.com and Nigerian Village Square. He is a leading contributor to Jobberman.com, the most intuitive job search engine on the Net and Executive Director, Freelance Writers Crew. This excellent chap is a recipient of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Scholarship Award in 2002 and Shell Petroleum Development Corporation National Merit Scholarship Award for undergraduate medical education in 2003. In a bid to promote education and the Millennium Development Goals, He serves as President of XCEL Foundation, a non-governmental organisation that rewards excellence and character among secondary school students. He holds a Bachelor in Medicine and Surgery from OAU and read selected topics under Infectious Diseases section of the Open Course Ware offered by John Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. He practices in Ile-ife, Osun state, Nigeria.
