Decisions about managing people make a difference and faced with the pressures of global competition, social change, and accelerating technological advances, managers are urged to take action. Solutions are not always simple, nor are they unchanging. What works in one set of circumstances may not apply in another setting or with other employees. Thus the search for "the answer" lies in an analysis of the conditions and people involved. Therefore handling the complexities of numbers and people, technicalities and relationships, visioning and controlling, leading and managing, delegating and centralizing, pushing and supporting. In this age of global, instantaneous communication, people who can gather data, translate it clearly and accurately, then present it dynamically and persuasively and especially as the global economy grows, so does the demand for creative, knowledgeable managers and leaders who have the conceptual tools to think critically, understand the applications of today's most sophisticated computer technology to aid in decision-making, and manage effectively the cultural diversity that accompanies work in an international context. A world that works for everyone is a world where people have finally realised they have been sleeping all this time. When people, all people, begin to question the most basic ideas ‘who am I?’ ‘Why am I here?’ and ‘what’s important to me and why?’ then peace will slowly but surely reign. Once we become more aware of our spiritual nature and purpose, insecurities will gradually fade, and will therefore be followed by all negative emotions, making space to foster other qualities such as sharing, unconditional love and forgiveness, empathy and a great sense of oneness. Once these qualities take place within people’s hearts, economies, governments and businesses will also manifest these qualities, making the world a step closer to working for everyone. In such a world we realise that, though we may be selfish in nature, it is in our self-interest to be from the need for material security to the enjoyment of simply being exploring the world we are visiting. We begin to feel an excitement for just living, for being on a planet, in some remote solar system that lies in one of billions of galaxies, surrounded by endless forms of life. Our suppressed desire to explore awakens once more and we find peace. What do you see as the most pressing problems facing the world today? Again, it is that we are sleepwalkers. We are not aware of reality. We have forgot our purpose of existence and have lost ourselves in the temporary world of physicality. We can’t see the oneness, and therefore feel afraid, vulnerable and week. The result of this is the wars erupting on the planet, the corruption of businesses and governments and the individual's selfishness. Of course here I speak in general. And though our lack of awareness doesn’t seem to be what is really pressing, but rather it seems to be the wars, famine, disease and corruption, in the background of all this, the essential cause goes to our unawareness of truth. This is what we need to deal with, this is what we need to contemplate. It’s the problem of being asleep that is most pressing. How do you feel these problems could best be solved? Well, if the problem is that we are asleep, then the solution is that we must wake up. We have to begin to observe again, just like we once did when children. Slowly we have to unlearn what we’ve learned and let go of our judgments and conclusions and just observe. As we see the world outside and then gradually begin to look at the world inside, we begin to question, and this is the first step. Question, question, question and seek the truth will all our hearts. Why are we here? What is this world? Where do I come from? What lies beyond? What is truth? What is love? What is justice? Do I have a soul? And is there an afterlife? All these questions and more have to be revisited, but this time not answered by pushing away or relying on an answer we read in a book or were told by a parent. We have to have the direct experience of the answer. This is the start of awakening and this is the key to all problems. Profile: When I was 11, I heard that a relative of mine had developed the ability to heal people just by using his mind. I heard stories of how he stopped hiccups by simply placing his hands on your stomach and eased headaches and toothaches just by the will of his mind. Amazed, I began to ponder what that meant. If this was possible, then what is the limit to what humans can do? Old ideas that I had once discarded as ‘unrealistic’ began to revisit my mind. I was always curious about human potential and a part of me always believed that there was no limit. Nearly 12, I went back to the playground of my mind, in a world where people could fly and just about anything was possible. Discussing this with some friends, we developed an interest in black magic. As time passed, however, I quickly began to realize that this wasn’t what I was looking for, and after hearing a few stories and looking at a couple of books I lost interest in the whole ‘black magic’ business, realizing it’s limitations and dark essence. At the same time though, I began hearing about meditation and the power of the mind and people who sit motionless for hours at a time. That summer I had went to Canada to visit some family, and there I met a lady from Sri Lanka who gave me my first meditation lesson. I significance of good character. However, at that time I was still more impressed by the magical stories I heard, and rather than seeking peace, I wanted power. I got into the whole psychic powers deal, and when I returned from Canada, I spent months, searching ceaselessly on the net for information. 2 years passed and though I had learnt a great deal, I still couldn’t fly nor move objects with the power of the mind. Fortunately, near that time, a lady from India was here giving a three day course on spirituality and I went not know what to expect. It revolutionized everything inside me. All my priorities changed and instead of power, I was now a seeker of truth and peace. And so, my journey began. Reading every book I could get my hands on concerning spirituality, philosophy or religion things slowly began to make sense. I dug into every religion, settled for a while in some and moved on. Equipped with meditation tools, I began to question. ‘Why am I here? Do I have a soul? Is there an afterlife? What’s important to me? And what’s the point of all this?’. As I learned to quiet the internal noise and listen to the silence, the answers started to flow. Some of the books that helped me answer the endless list of questions I had were, ‘Conversations with God’, ‘The Celestine Prophecy’, ‘Jonathan Livingston Seagull’ ‘How to know God’ and ‘The seven habits of highly effective people’. The search for answers is still long, and I am still in the beginning of my journey. However, one thing that I’ve learned that I truly value from all this is developing a sense of excitement for life, just for being here and now, exploring, wanting nothing else but the pursuit of truth, peace and adventure. What do you see as the most pressing problems facing the world today? Poverty, especialy caused by selfishness and corruption How do you feel these problems could best be solved? First by those who know what it means to love and extending it to those who don't know Profile I was born in a polygamous family. My dad had two wives. He was not poor, but unfortunately by the time i reached secondary school, he had spent alot of his wealth in educating my elder brothers and especially in treating my eldest brother who had develop a mental disease (he latter passed a way). My studies in secondary school was so hard. Occasionally i was send home for lack of sch fee and infact for my final exams there was a teacher who volunteered to pay the fee for me.I had desire so mach to be a medical doctor ,but i could not make it due to my grades.Since then i have worked casual jobs in various places with frustrating salaries, among them:sales, untrained teacher, cashier in a restaurant, a casino dealer, and a waiter. By Gods grace i cleared the school fee balance and was given my certificate. Now i work as a musician in church. I play gospel music in wedding ceremonies, birthday parties, and in music studios when hired. This has not been so easy with the group that i work with.Due to frustrations and challenges that we have been facing, i have come up with a plan together with my friends to save some money so that by at least the month of september we will have accumalate more enough to start a bussiness. Please with due repect, i am kindly requesting, let me be accepted as one of your students; let me have access to some of your books, i really need to be informed. I really need to read books and be informed on how to deal with some situations in life. I have seen people suffer, going without food, without clothes, no homes, some even succumb to small diseases because they don't have access to medical care; while our politicians embezzle finances, driving big cars, big homes; some even don't know what to do with money. When they need votes, they make promises to people, but once they are ellected they never fulfill any single thing they said. I believ this must come to an end. God has placed me in Africa with a purpose. If all other people have fail to do something about it, i will not. I want to be a crusader of peace, love, and unity. Those who have should share with those who don't have. People should learn to support each other. I have faith that finances will not be a limit to what God wants to do in my life unto His people. One time things will have to change. Therefore as i desire to learn alot from you, accept my kind request and let me be a student in The international institute of global leadership. God bless you. A very big question but briefly I could say that It needs to be a world in which people have respect for the natural world/ecosystem as our life support system and not a resource to gratify our own selfish desires and perceived needs. Where People see each other as souls living in bodies and thereby canceling years of prejudice, hatred, religious and cultural differences and racial complexes. Military Spending could be hugely reduced and the resources diverted to development of Free Energy, Systems that could provide abundant food and clean water to all peoples everywhere. Humanity could be oriented towards lifestyles that are sustainable and harmonious to and with the Earth and all life on it. Communities could become self sufficient, self governing ( i.e. each person governs their own actions and takes responsibility for them.. yet also friendly and co-operative.) Many of these ideas are the opposite of what is happening today and require a mass shift in the level of consciousness of the entire population of the planet which is what I perceive this work to be about. Change begins in the self!! What do you see as the most pressing problems facing the world today? Accelerated Climate Change, Ongoing Resource Wars, Financial Collapse, Media Censorship and Manipulation, Human Greed and Ignorance, HIV Aids - The list could go on & on. How do you feel these problems could best be solved? When World consciousness can be elevated by a critical mass of people who reach the next level and reach out to the rest of humanity. Profile.
