 About Me |
I'm a Chemical Engineer working for my Ph. D. at the University of South Carolina, Columbia. My research area is 'Fuel Cells' (Fuel Cells are devices that convert chemical energy into electrical energy - there are many kinds of fuel cells, the most popular being the Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cells. PEMFCs, sought by the automobile industry to power future cars, uses hydrogen and oxygen to produce electricity and water). Many of us know that this world is running out of oil and we are gearing ourselves towards a hydrogen economy - meaning hydrogen will provide the energy for most human needs and Fuel cells will play a key role in Hydrogen Economy. Though many of us know this, few are willing to acknowledge this. There are many reasons - false propaganda, corrupt politicians linked to oil moguls, lack of public awareness, etc. Well, I'm here to share the knowledge that we cannot be going on forever without giving up our dependence on oil. I intend to post as many articles as I can about the energy scenario and its impact on global economy.
