About Me

I am the founding member of PERD and Azaan Foundation, besides I am a master trainer and i trained thousands of teachers, district coordinators for various literacy projects in various districts from the platform of a number of international and national organizations such as NCHD, UNICEF, and Rotary International etc. I implemented the literacy program in 60 districts of Pakistan including AJK. I am an expert on Urdu/English phonics and I am one of the writers of the Azaan book series. My special areas of expertise are Education and Community development through education especially in teachers training, curriculum development and also Adult Literacy program.

I hold a Master’s degree in Political Science from University of Karachi. I started my career as journalist in 1998 I worked their as an especial reporter. Then I joined New Century Education as story writer for curriculum development in 2000, I worked on five books which were specially written for new literates; this was a post gradate literacy program It was a UNESCO funded project.

Meanwhile I started research work on adult literacy and participated in teacher training programs. In 2002 I was the National Literacy Coordinator my responsibilities were teacher training, monitoring and monitor the training programs. I also run and successfully completed literacy projects in Karachi central Jail and various industries which are still in progress. In 2003 I not only carried out the research work but was also among one of the writers. I developed mentoring and support material of adult literacy programs that was running as pilot project of NCHD in Mardan at the end of 2002, in 2003 I not only planned and designed the whole literacy program for NCHD but also implemented it in 40 districts of Pakistan. In the end of 2003 literate Pakistan foundation were established and I was founder member.
