 About Me |
I am a second-year university student majoring in genetics and minoring in cultural anthropology. I am very interested in international development, the role of science in human development. I hope to become a doctor one day and specialize in emergency medicine/neurology. I hope to work for Medecins Sans Frontieres!! I am a HUGE space geek/science nerd, and I spend my spare time reading novels, dancing, singing, riding my bike, and playing the saxaphone/flute. I have trained for 15 years in Bharatha Natyam dance [from southern india] in Madras, and i'm crazy about it of course! I love making new friends, writing letters to penpals, am fond of loud, slobbery dogs and spontaneous puppet shows!
I am fascinated about the world and its connections; languages, dances, voices, songs, cultures; they're like billions of photographic moments strung together. I would say that i'm a little bit of an explorer, and i'm addicted to adventures. I love children, most animals [maybe not cockroaches so much..], and leica cameras. My happiest moments are by the ocean, or with my family. My favourite image is when driving to Texas, on the straight highway through the prairies, there was at dawn a field full of sunflowers all turned to face the sun. This, and a thousand other reasons, is why I get up in the morning :)
