With experience in broadcast, print and online media, Anita has worked as an on-air reporter for CTV Ottawa, a research assistant for The New Yorker's Beijing bureau, an associate producer for CBC News and a reporter/copy editor for The Globe and Mail. In addition, Anita has freelanced for various publications across Canada. She currently works at the Toronto Star.
Anita holds a Master of Journalism from Carleton University and an Honours Bachelor of Arts in international relations, Asia-Pacific studies and English from Trinity College at the University of Toronto.
With interest in issues of local and global governance, Anita has also served on the board of directors for the Chinese Canadian National Council (Toronto Chapter) and as a member of the G8 Research Group. Most recently, she was involved in ProjectYouthTube.ca, a website aimed at engaging youth in politics.
