 About Me |
Born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario,Canada, I have an enthusiasm for building community. From school to work to volunteering, I love to support growth and inspire positive change.
I am curious by nature and for this I have my parents to thank – they encouraged my high school exchange to Paris, France, and my university exchange to Maastrict, Netherlands. My parents believe in education through exposure and as such, always encouraged me to explore the world at my own back door and far beyond. To date, I have visited over 25 countries and 75 cities. I love to travel, meet new people, experience new cultures, and try new foods!
Currently I live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, where I attended the University of Toronto for Business Administration and Ryerson University for Fashion Styling & Communication. I have a passion for fashion and have spent the majority of my career in retail in various capacities. In 2012, I hope to pursue further education with an MBA.
When I am not traveling/studying/working I like to keep active with the gym, hot yoga, and cycling around the city. I also enjoy working on my blog, www.aforangela.com, having fun with friends, and taking in cultural events around the city. I have an affinity for the arts and like exhibits on modern, pop, or native art. In addition, I like to create mixed media and hand-built ceramics. I speak 3 languages - English, French and Cantonese - and would love to learn Arabic and Spanish.
The last things you should know about me are that I could eat my way through any city, and that I really believe in seizing the day! Carpe Diem!
