About me
I am leading a project to provide support for people active in the field to convert their experience into accredited Bachelor, Masters and Doctoral degrees. We combine action learning with forms of auto-ethnography that enable a person to use first hand learning and unlearning on the ground as the backbone of their studies.
I have been doing this work for 15 years or so largely stimulated by my own experiences and those of others around becoming the first tranche of skilled permaculture designers and teachers in the UK. We observed that this leading edge work does not really fit into a conventional academic environment and, instead, requires deep opportunities for experience and the capacity to shift focus as projects develop and emerge.
However good tutorial support for this flexible style of learning makes a big difference to the quality of the project and the quality of a person's learning.
Thus we have created an impressive raft of elders and youngers committed to providing project based actionists with support, with enough challenge to ensure that there is no complacency and a forum of other, enagaged world changing folk.
This is a culmination project for me arising from a lifetime of service to Gaia and her people.
