 About Me |
I am 26 years of age working with a self founded Non Government Organization (Rural-Urban Initiatives to Support Own Efforts - RISE) operating in Mayuge District in the eastern Uganda. Our norm at RISE is that each of us has an intrinsic ability that once well realised and tapped can change your life for the better; so what we emphasize is using of own efforts to draw our selves out of undesired situations before we look to the other for support.
With RISE I have worked with many community groups ranging from youths, women, general and school clubs; which we created between 2004 and 2006 and we are still creating more. When I heard of ESANYA from a friend which then led me to knowing GYCA i felt responsible to take up this task to apply for membership and get the great, invaluable information flow to as far as it could through me.
I have though RISE initited a number of projects to the community especially through women and youths with the slogan let us keep the candle burning. I always think to myself whether the world will ever recieve change if we the able ones at connecting worlds do not take the initiatives to the rest.
I am also pursuing a carrier as a socio-economist through extensive research and am in the process of opening up a consultancy firm and i was identified in a conference at Nairobi and chosen to carry out socio-economic analysis for a regional project BOMOSA cage fish farming system being tried out in Uganda, Ethiopia and Kenya.
Education wise I hold a Bachelors of Arts in Social Sciences (Economics, Philosophy) from MAkerere University Kampala and I am completing a Masters in Ethics and Public Management (ETPM) at the same University in the faculty of ARTs.
I credit myself with good interpersonal skills, good communication and ability to design programs and projects for community betterment.
I will be greatful if I am admited to membership.
