About me
Though originally from a small town in central Ontario (cheers to Minden!), Amy now resides in Toronto where she is working on her Masters of Education. Her research focuses on young people and the struggle they face in finding voice in their communities and society at large. Having completed her undergraduate degree and B.Ed. at Nipissing U. in North Bay, Ontario, Amy is passionate about education and how it can empower and excite! Amy is a member of Volunteer Canada's Youth Advisory Committee, is working with the Ontario Network of the Canadian Volunteer Initiative, and volunteers in her local community as well. Amy loves to travel and hopes to spend the next several years working to educate and empower young people in the global and local issues that we call face as citizens of this planet!
