Sobre Mí

Hi! I'm Amie from the Philippines, 19 years old and taking up Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. I graduated salutatorian in High School and I am presently a consistent Dean's Lister Scholar (full tuition) at Universidad de Sta. Isabel, a school headed by the Order of the Daughters of Charity here in Naga City, Philippines. I am the Associate Editor of our school paper, THE GAZETTE and a member of our Basketball and swimming varsity and recently won a gold and bronze in the regional swimming competition. Aside from which, I am also a member of the Philippine National Red Cross, KAPARIZ (Kabataang Pangarap ni Rizal), BIOTA, Debate Society, Teatro de Sta. Luisa, Youth for Christ, and Girl Scout of the Philippines. I have initiated and implemented various community services projects in my school such as feeding programs, seminars for our adapted baranggays, functional literacy program, books donating, clothes giving and the likes. I believe that if you have talents or skills, if God has given you wonderful gifts, these blessings are meant to be shared. The more that are given to you, the more are expected from you. You cannot say you are fulfilled by having only lots of awards. No. It is on how you influence the lives of others by being yourself, by using all your blessings and talents to help and to transform them,and to create change in your society even in your own little way. Do everything with sincerity, with honesty, with passion and with God at its center. What else? If I have to advice someone, I would only tell him this: Whatever happened, always go back and be careful with this three H's-- Health, Heart (as in falling in love) and Humility. That's it!
