About Me

I am a pretty cool, laid back, sometimes sarcastic and cynical type of guy. I am currently in graduate school obtaining my masters degree in Urban Affairs and Planning with a concentration in Urban Policy in New York City. I am the "new" International Network Coordinator of Youth RISE..i am now seven month into my new role!. I live here in the United States, and my family is from Ghana so shout out to all my Ghanians, much African love!

I was formerly the Outreach Coordinator for an Adolescent HIV/AIDS Prevention Program working with affected and infected youth at a hospital in New York City. I also do independent consulting focusing on capacity-building with drug policy and HIV/AIDS service organizations.

Before all of that, I was a People for the American Way, Young People For Leadership Academy Fellow 2007-2008. I worked at the Harm Reduction Coalition as the Project Coordinator for a new demonstration project - a harm reduction based drug education program for urban youth titled Brick Rebuilding. The project is based in Newark, NJ, and was piloted with the juvenile justice population there. My first job in the NGO world was with The Arc of NJ, for the NJ Coalition for the Prevention of Developmental Disabilities working on initiatives such as Pregnant Pause, advocating and educating about the harms of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders, as well as childhood safety and prevention.
