I studied for four years at Imperial College London to gain a Masters in Computing. During this time I enjoyed the opportunity to be elected as student representative, and worked closely with departmental staff to represent the views of the students. In 2004, I was honoured to be nominated for the UK Science, Engineering and Technology awards. This showcase of young talent was awe-inspiring, demonstrating the vast potential of youth-led advancements in Science and Technology. Presenting my final year project, Web-based navigation of image and video archives, I was awarded Student of the Year for Best Use of IT. I think this experience confirmed my strong belief that Technology can be a powerful force in improving life across the globe. I am particularly enthused about the Internet as a vehicle for education, collaboration and freedom of speech. This site is an inspiration and contains some remarkable stories of endeavour and achievement for which I have huge admiration. If anyone has similar interests and/or ideas for exciting ways to collaborate and make difference, don’t hesitate to get in touch!
