 About Me |
Alba Fishta is a public health physician with a lot of experience in managing health care interventions within the context of complex emergencies. Through managing NGOs as well as senior positions with the United Nations, Ms. Fishta has overseen the design and implementation of health and education programs throughout her native Albania, in Kosovo, Germany, USA, Italy, etc. While she is a recognized technical expert in the area of reproductive health, maternal and child health, Ms. Fishta is particularly skilled at managing large teams of technical and administrative staff. As the Chair Person of the organization International Humantarian Assistance she plays a pivotal role and takes the lead in the overall activities of the organization, raises funds and negotiates with possible donors, takes decisions as to the selection of possible partners.
Ms. Fishta has a deep understanding of the needs and problems related to health internationally. As a Fulbright scholar, during her Master course in Public Health (MPH) at Tulane University, NO - USA she has also accumulated enough skills on different public health matters particularly on international health policy and management and reproductive health. Ms. Fishta counts many researches in the area of reproductive health, gynaecologic cancer and infectious diseases. During her Doctorate at the Friedrich-Schiller-University in Jena (FSU Jena), Germany she has improved further her scientific skills.
