 About Me |
The ability to grasp a bigger picture, to anticipate a trend and opportunities; to think without limits; and ability to interact more effectively and convey more effective ideas and thought in a cohesive positive manner. My concept of volunteering does not differ from the norm, I see it a little further that its service to humanity, which is the best work of life by believing in it, to achieve a goal of human development, an indisputable pledge to acquire and bestow knowledge.
Akindele Oyeyemi is a graduate of in Electronics and Electrical Engineering with Communication as option in October 2008 from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, currently I have been called up to serve the Nigeria nation under the auspices of the National Youth Corp Service (NYSC) in Ebonyi State, facilitating changes within the community through the Engineering Community Development Service (CDS) to inform, inspire, involve and change the community to a more positive outlook.
What interest me are Social Networking, Technology & Innovation, Community Service, Capacity Development, Development Strategy and Management. Akin is affiliated with Non-Governmental Organisations such as Nigerian Red Cross Society, Junior Chamber International, Nigeria. In the university due to his fervency for change in the campus and community at large to allow voices of youth to be heard he was appointed as a Director of publicity (2005/2006) and Trainings and Tours (2006/2007) for his admiration for travelling and acquisition of knowledge, I engaged in projects such as Operation Keep Lautech Clean(OKLC), Charity visits for motherless Babies Homes, Health Project Campaigns (HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis & Malaria) and Election Monitoring Group. Also, I volunteer for Non-Profit Organisations with just cause like Paradigm Initiative Nigeria, where i was involved in the start-up and implementation of the ajegunle.org project in Ajegunle, Lagos Nigeria, Ray of Hope International (HIV/AIDS body).
I value ICT as a backbone necessity for personal and professional development, I fit into places as online member that support and aids in Innovation, Economic development and Social Enterprising such as Taking IT Global, International Young Professional Foundation, World youth congress and so on. In October 2008, I was inducted to be a Microsoft Internet Safety, Security and Privacy Initiative for Nigeria (ISSPIN) Youth Ambassador, with the expedition to redirect the energies of Nigerian Youths from Cybercrime towards positive engagements and to create alternative means for Nigerian Youths. I believe with redirection towards various sections in the field of ICT such as Software & Web development, Hardware configuration, Policies implementation, anywhere they can derive passion and contribute to the advancement of the global community will be acceptable rather than defacing the Nigerian beauty that needs restoration. With just a simple plan which is far more a vigorous test, I hope to achieve and ensure a less Cyber crime influenced environment. Recently, precisely on June 2nd, 2009, I facilitated in Ebonyi State the Microsoft Vista Language Localization Programme (LLP) into Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba Implementation, awareness and sensitization of the Microsoft Vista package.
In spare time, he reads, watch movies, listens to music and travelling. He loves meeting people. Akin has an excellent and distinct panache of leadership. He believes that in a world of exploring abundant resources, applying his qualities, to get results with listening ears and large heart, could achieve the best with limited capacity.
What I wish to contribute to the world at this summit is my ability to inspire and elicit extraordinary performances, to simplify complex subjects by veering to the core of substantial issues. Finally, I hope to learn the rudiments and also add more value, knowledge about the methods and most especially to network with other in the rest of the world who are driven with same passion. At the conclusion of this summit, I hope to get back to Nigeria to give back to the society with the knowledge; I have been exposed to create a positive change.
