About Me |
My artistic practice involves working as the roles of initiator, participant, author and curator, according to different collaborative and interdisciplinary projects. These roles operate within the field of media and socially-engaged arts, where I am interested in the process of engagement with a devised workshop, situation, or event.
I am currently interested in: notions of Not-Yet-Become, hybrid host-guest relationships, Bohmian dialogue, the bare-bones story model, open source culture and peer production/distribution frameworks.
This activity evolved from a background in layers and processes of printmaking, poetic inter-media relations, community-based arts, and virtual/augmented environments connecting site, memory and interaction, contributing to early locative media discourse. I wander with the belief that story-making/telling and listening are useful modes of engaging and representing my own or others' experience.
As outcomes-and-goings of this practice, I have coordinated local and international workshops for multi-disciplinary professionals, students and young people in UK, Latvia, Finland, Norway, Turkey and Australia. What is left behind as digital, material and ephemeral residue of 'being there' is a constistant concern.
