She has worked in the corporate world of IMC developing hand-on experience in the processes and execution of communication strategies. She is aware and has practiced it over the years that no marketing strategy can be developed without proper situation analysis, either table-top assessment or environmental scanning. To conduct media planning and buying, she has learnt to generate and work with data to achieve different marketing communications objectives. She is vast with the sociology and economics of the media. She is at home when it comes to Media Monitoring, Media Measurement including Media Content Analysis. She believes and understands that without communications audit, strategies become mere guess work. Currently, she is the Head, Media Intelligence of the Group; and has managed several Integrated Marketing Communications accounts and conducted Communications Audits. She has a very good understanding of the Nigerian media landscape and tremendous contacts in the industry. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and a Masters degree in Public Policy and Administration from the Bayero University Kano. She has also taken several courses which include: Advanced Writing and Reporting Skills at the Pan-African University, Arbitron Radio Rating Course amongst several others. She is a member of the International Association for Media and Communication Research, Global Development Network, Monitoring and Evaluation News and the International Political Science Association |
