About Me |
I am the Assistant Dean for Global Engagement and an Assistant Professor in Champlain College’s Core Division. I run the Institute for Global Engagement and Champlain College's award-winning Global Modules, which feature conversations on a wide variety of topics between higher education students around the world. My teaching focuses on human rights, global studies, and other topics. I hold a PhD from Stanford in Modern Thought and Literature, and have worked at human rights organizations in both the U.S. and Chile, including Physicians for Human Rights and the Human Rights Center of the University of Chile. My research focuses on the use of forensic science in the investigation of mass graves and other atrocities. I live in Burlington, VT, with my wife, two sons, and my collection of international comic books.
