During his studies he belonged to many organizations within the campus and Overseas. He graduated from the Federal Polytechnic, Offa, Kwara State with Higher National Diploma (HND) in Insurance in 2005. Mr. Solanke was deployed to Kogi State for National Service, at the camp; Mr. Solanke was one of the few corps members that were specially trained as Peer Education trainer of the NYSC/UNICEF Adult Reproductive Health HIV/AIDS Project. He served at Community Secondary School, Odenyi in Bassa Local Government Area. I worked diligently that the principal of the school scored me 98% in the confidential assessment. I also trained 65 students and the Odenyi community on HIV/AIDS. Mr. Solanke is a very affectionate, and observant person, this traits led me to identify a student who was going blind. I took the plight of this student to Rotary International, Lokoja and the wife of the Executive Governor of Kogi State, who responded to his entreaties and provided fund for the treatment of the student and with my own personal savings. The operation was carried out at Gwagwalada Specialist Hospital, Abuja and the boy has regained his sight back (See Nigeria Tribune, 26th January, 2006 –page 13 “How Corps Member Saved student from blindness”). Mr. Solanke as a community worker, my integration and exemplary life earned me written letters from Rotary International, Lokoja, The Igala community and the Local Government Traditional council. Mr. Solanke was giving an automatic employment to Federal Ministry of Finance, Abuja where he currently works. I was Invited to attend International Young Professionals Summit, between 19th-23rd August 2008in Manchester UK by International Young Professionals Foundation.
