About me
I am a recent graduate of Laurentian University, with a major in anthropology. I have a passion for conservation and sustainable development, and hope that eventually I can find a career in this field. As of now, I am planning to open my mind to new experiences through travel and volunteer work.
I have recently been given the opportunity to work with Youth Challenge International, where I will be volunteering in Costa Rica for four weeks. Other volunteers and I will be working with the local communities to help with environmental projects.
I volunteered in Costa Rica last year, at Cano Palma Biological Station. Here I studied monkeys, birds, and sea turtles in efforts to create sustainable hunting practices in the local communities. This experience fuelled a passion in me to work in conservation, and also inspired me to travel. With the opportunity given to me by YCI I can fulfill both of these goals! I am extremely excited for this experience!
