 About Me |
I belong to the scenic Hunza valley of Gilgit - Baltistan, a semi-autonomous region located near the Sino - Pak border. Having studied and practiced marketing and communication for over one year, I am now determined to pursue development communiction and social entrepreneurism, with a focus on citizen media.
I am the founder of Pamir Media Services, a pioneering citizen journalism initiative of Gilgit - Baltistan. Coordinating with a team of over two dozen citizen reporters, I am also the chief editor of Pamir Times Blog. We are now planning to launch an Urdu language blog, called Pamir Nama.
Professionally, I worked in the corporate sector for one year, but my interest in the field of development has pushed me to enter the development sector.
I have written articles, features, reports and comments for variuos local and national newspapers on socio-economic realities of our time.
I feel that as global citizens we need to constantly learn and share in order to expand our horizons.
My vision for the world is that creating a synergy of our individual and collective capacities and expertise would help humanity attain solutions for the problems faced by communities across the globe.
