About Me

Hello,

I am Zuhur and I live in Horn of Africa, Somaliland.. I believe in youth being change agents and want to work, share, connect and know other like minded young people who are working and are willing to "Make a Difference" and "Take Action"

I am a 22 year old who has a a voice and a vision, and is passionate about using both to create positive change. I want to make a difference not only for a righter "Tomorrow" but for a better "Today". Coming from a country not recognized by the International Community, Somaliland, this might belie naïve optimism. However, I not only believe this future is possible, I am also actively involved in making it a reality.

I volunteer with the Somaliland Culture and Sports Association (SOCSA), a non-government organization designed to improve the lives of young people in the community by teaching skills, sports, and giving access to information sharing. As part of the management team of the youth multi-purpose centre, I encourage young people that each person can make a difference and take action in their communities. I am an Action Partners with Oxfam International, National Focal point for GYCA (Global youth AIDS Coalition) and a Project Ambassador for One World Youth Project.
