My name is Wisdom Adanuty President of Youth Alive Foundation International a youth lead Foundation in the volta region of ghana.Am a university student Pursuing a degree program in Ghana at the Cathoilc University College of Ghana fiapre Sunyani.We as the youth and members of Youth Alive Foundation and whole communities have the inherent capacity to change attitude and behavior .The power to fulfill this capacity is often denied or is not exercised...
This power must now be recognized, called forth and supported from both within and without. This will enable the youth to initiate , change and sustain behavior that promote a healthy state of mind , body, spirit and environment .A critical component in this process is a supportive response to those living with HIV in the community
We recognize that behavior change at individual and community level in the present HIV pandemic is a complex and ongoing process .it is inextricably linked to such basic human values as care, love, faith, family and friendship, respect for people and cultures. Solidarity and support.
The present pandemic affects everyone .Our experience as affected and infected individuals proves that behavior change is possible. We believe that behavior change is the most essential strategy in overcoming the HIV pandemic.
There is an opportunity for those who want to do volunteerism in the Volta region.
These are some of the areas you can volunteer.
Orphanages (2) ,Hiv/Aids education, counselling & testing,Community service,cancer awareness creation, Mentally Challenge School, Teaching,Hospitals, ICT education and any area you wish to volunteer in.
