 About Me |
Nairobi Red Cross Youth (NRCY) is a youth group for the Nairobi Red Cross Branch. Established in the eary 80's. The Group has more than 3000 members both individuals and from Institutions. Our core activities are based on the Four Part Youth Programme namelY, 1. Protection ofd Life and Health, 2. Community Service, 3. National and International Friendship and Understanding and 4. Dissemination of Red Cross and Red Cresent Movement. Some of the specifc programmes we are engaged in are Peer Education Programme for Youth of Ages 10 - 25 focusing on Behaviour Change Communication in order to reduce the impact of HIV/AIDS in Kenya. The other programme is Blood Donor speicifically collection of safe blood for transfussion, reducing the risk of HIV infection and spread of AIDS. First Aid Programme is also Key whereby we offer First Aid and Train Community Members on First Aid Skills. Membership is open to All Guided with the Seven Principles Namely; Humanity, Impertiality, Neutrality, independence, Voluntary Service, Unity, and universality.
