It was formed with a mission to work hand in hand with young people so as to intensify action aimed at bringing significant behavioral change among young people to help break HIV infection rate, and encourage their understanding about the rights, dignities and freedoms of people living with HIV/AIDS. It is a member of the Malawi network of aids service organization (MANASO), the district aids coordinating committee, registered under the district CBO registration code, registered with district youth office, regional youth office, district health office It’s principle objectives are centered at: To intensify action to bring about significant behavioral change among young people To encourage dialogue among young people on issues of HIV/AIDS and sexual reproductive health in a non-threatening environment. To raise awareness among young people on issues concerning the rights, dignities and freedoms of people living with HIV/AIDS so as to combat stigma and discrimination. To promote young people’s capabilities in the fight against the epidemic and equip them with life planning skills. It has 25 registered members; of which 10 are girls and15 are males. 10 members, of whom the projects coordinator is the head, constitute the executive. It also has a board of trustees comprising of 7 members, headed by a chairperson. Its office is located near Chigumula C.C.A.P primary school, off Thyolo m2 road. Its catchments area is the Blantyre city southeast constituency with future plans to extend it to three districts.
