 About Me |
Hello. My name is Vikram. I live in Hyderabad, India and i'm 20 years old. I love nature, especially wildlife and am deeply concerned about the future of the planet. I have been working actively towards conservation for the past four years. My work has taken my through several voluntary/paid stints in different nature conservation organisations, most notably WWF-India where i started working as a volunteer when i was 17 and went on to become a resource person, and the AP Forest Department where i work on temporary basis currently as a biodiversity educator to youth and school kids. I also have my own NGO called Friendship Foundation and we work mostly in conservation in Reserve Forests surrounding villages and water bodies. We follow the wetland approach to conservation as opposed to the species approach. My work so far has been in seven RF's and two wildlife sanctauries in AP where i have a network of nearly 90 villages and their youth. I am currently doing my B.Sc final year at College of Sciences, Osmania University in Geology, Geography and Chem with Oceanography, Palaeo and Meteorology as subsidiaries.
