I have a passion for music. I am an avid piano player and quite recently I aquired a viola and will be taking it up in the near future. One of my other passions is film making. The creative process of combining so many mediums is one that I truly love. I also enjoy cross country skiing in the winter, Ukrainian dance, playing in the community junior jazz band, coaching skiing, taking Ukrainian lessons and volunteering, especially with special needs children. Other interests: reading, cooking, gardening, running, learning languages, trying new things
I am also passionately interested in social justice. I am an active leader in my school's social justice group and have started a young people's global awareness initiative called Fresh A.I.R. An International Review. I hope to pursue a career in Foreign Affairs in the area of development and peace. I joined TIG in the hopes that I will broaden my perspectives and understanding of the world and make international connections. I think it is so very inspiring that so many of us young people today are making such efforts to combat injustice and work towards a better world all around!
