 About Me |
Dominic Nsikan is a talented, motivated, creative, innovative and a visionary young activist on HIV/AIDS. He is a young graduate of industrial chemistry from the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria as well as a peer group educator and a community worker who through several NGOs has contributed meaningfully to the empowerment of grassroots’ people. As a volunteer for several NGOs like Red Cross society of Nigeria, humanitarian peace league of Nigeria, he had also worked as a campaigner with organizations like WHO, UNICEF and SHF. Having left several legacies and impact on the lives of youths and communities he had worked with, he is now the founder of an NGO called “RESOURCE YOUTH COALITION ON HIV/AIDS”. With this project, he hopes to stir a course that will hold our government responsible for whatever commitments they might have made on HIV/AIDS and youth participation on issues that relates to HIV/AIDS. As a humanitarian service worker and a youth administrator on HIV/AIDS, he has participated in both physical and virtual volunteering activities; you can find some of his works on the following websites; www.nabuur.com, www.onlinevolunteering, www.givemeaning.com . Currently he is one of the youth trained by global youth coalition on AIDS (GYCA) on political advocacy. A graduate of the September 2008 political advocacy e-course organized by GYCA.
