About Me |
It's fascinating to see the progress humans have made in the last hundred years. Or can we really call it progress? For sure most of the technological inventions we discovered are amazing and they bring a good contribution to humans (such as cars and computers); however, it is disappointing to see that the same brilliant knowledge used to create those inventions was used to end up with weapons and nuclear bombs. It is very ironic because the more the world of science and technology rises, which is suppose to bring better life conditions and protections, the more the humans are trying to destruct each other. Furthermore, I’ve heard that we have produced so many explosive materials that if they were to explode all at the same time, it would have enough energy to blow up the entire planet more then once.
In first hand, I don’t like war, like everybody I suppose, but I also dislike the system and the procedures of the military organizations. I don’t think it is convincing when someone promotes peace when he got guns in his hands. Sadly, I have to admit that my pacific ambition is only a dream because there is another part of the people who considers the military squads as a necessary protection, and that part of the people forms the majority. I can tell you that no one you’ve ever meet in your life will get to see the day when guns and bombs won’t be there anymore. So if I had to wish something, it would be that. As you can see, I might look like a pacifist, but I consider myself much more as a realistic and rational person.
Second, I hate to see that we can barely trust each other in the actual society. Everyone is trying to improve their life by earning more and more money, even if they are crushing down others on their road to the top of the hill. And they don’t seem to show any kind of remorse. When there is money to earn, you’ll be surprised to see that some of the people you thought they were your friends could turn your friendship down very easily. After all, over thousands of years of evolution of the human race, I don’t think that the primitive side of us is totally erased. Yes we are much cleaner and we got good habits, but if you want a good life, you better get ready to “hit others with your wood stick”. It’s the jungle’s rule.
In conclusion, it is frustrating to see how most of the comments I’ve mentioned turn out to be so ironic. Sadly, it makes the world look like a big joke. If I was you, I wouldn’t want to be part of that joke, and I would immediately start trying to find a way to make life better. But first, you should get educated. Like my secondary 4 teacher once said: “Knowledge is power”.
