The planet Earth is undoubtedly beautiful.There are so many cultures, languages and races. The word that best summarizes our world: diversity. According to some other people, diversity is negative, but I totally disagree! Diversity IS what makes a person beautiful. If all the six billion people on this Earth were alike, it would be pretty boring. Therefore, ignoring that beautiful diversity is a waste, to me.
Therefore, the best way to be more open-minded is to travel. Lukily, I had the chance to travel a few times. Each country contains an history and a special knowledge. If we could think less about ourselves and more about others, the world would be certainly a better place.
Today, a lot of the humans live in a world where there is instant consumption. They can get everything they want, when they desire it, and I am included! There is still a lot of poverty in the world and to ignore that is dreadful. A lot of occidentals think that it is natural to be so rich. Travelling makes you understand that you are lucky to live in a beautiful place like Québec. Also, it made me realise that I would like to do a humanitarian project someday.
World War Two was basically based on discrimination toward Jewish people, the homosexual and much more. This hatred movement began with ONE men but finished with thousands of them. Therefore, a better comprehension and respect of other cultures and religions could enlarge tolerance from ones toward others and maybe cause fewer massacres. For sure, one of the biggest issues of the world is the prejudices one community has toward another. We need to fight them the best we can.
Briefly, I think that human race is good, but too influenced by the power of money. One good example is the Earl Jones case Therefore, we should all be closer to our origins and our values.
