PERSONALITY POWRESS:
I'm simply a true Nigerian- who is diverse in professionalism and possesses an amiable quest for knowledge and better understanding too.
I'm rather possessive in whatever i do that is genuine- never allows my problems and challenges to weigh me down...., always eager to succeed out of all odds.
I've engaged myself in various sport voluntary services in the years past..., and they include: Nigeria '99'; Ghana/Nigeria '2000'; COJA-Abuja'2004'.
Life in perspective..., has thought me a lot to be desired..., and I always cherish the good deeds which surpasses the wrong deeds....; making a meaning to life generally.
MY INTEREST AREAS INCLUDE:
LITERAY ARTS:
Literary Arts is so encompassing. The peace and one’s level of invention of words is limitless. No wonder experienced and renowned writers do have their personalized compendium of literary words to play around with. Of course, it is invented of them, by them, and for the readers too. My very first literary trials began with poetry. After wards, my perception about poetry changed and I now write when ‘am in the right frame of mind and spirit to assemble words into clauses and phrases; in turn making a wholesome meaning too.
Short Story Writing…, can equally become a delight to someone who has something to share. May be an experience, a story told, or an imaginary, or perhaps, out of revelation knowledge.
MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENCES:
Indeed, that happens to be my practicing profession. I, delight in being associated with the noble profession of Medical Laboratory Sciences. The profession is primarily concerned with the laboratory diagnosis of a patient’s biological sample/ specimen, with a view to analyses and possibly, the presentation of laboratory reports which subsequently assists the clinician in the treatment of the patient. The discipline is quite enormous and is subdivided into six sub-units: Medical Parasitology, Medical Bacteriology, Chemical Pathology, Haematology, Blood Group Serology, Histho/Cyto Pathology.
The Medical Laboratory Scientist is still caring for you, long after the clinics are shut.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY:
With the level of advances and sophistication in modern day technology use…, the emphasis has been on the need for an appropriate means of communication, which can be ascertain by it’s level of integrity and proficiency. Computers and Communication Technologies have been major players of that role and as such, have had a profound impact in the way we work. Furthermore, this not limited to the following, viz: Internet ( www. , E-mail, Browsing…, Surfing…, etc); GSM Interconnectivity; Telephony; Teleconferencing; Telecommuting; Telemedics, etc. This however, cannot be over-emphasized.
YOUTH EMPOWERMENT:
Youths..., in any nation, forms the bedrock of population, prosperity, and prospect. A nation devoid of the younger generation is bound to collapse in future… just as it’s been recorded in some advanced nations of the world today. The basic analogy being that in any given distribution of any youth population, their exists some percentage of resourcefulness which when channeled to positive rationing…, can contribute to the technical, industrial, academic and social development of the society; perhaps…, the nation at large. Youth Empowerment Programme should be preached and put into practice in several developmental policies that affects on the people generally. Thus, giving youths a sense of belonginness to serve…, having acquainted themselves with some special skills in special areas: Technical, Arts and Crafts, Resource Facilitators, Enterprenueship, etc.
YOUTH EDUCATION:
An educated person is the pride of his heritage in contemporary society today. Education goes further than just acquiring some basic fundamental skills about the Arts and Sciences…, rather prepares one to be fully equipped on the realities of what to face tomorrow with a view to possessing some discerning qualities too. A youth who happens to be educated- having undergone some level of classroom training in any of the tertiary institutions: College of Education, Monotechnic, Polytechnic, University; and also, in his chosen profession as: a Barrister, Doctor, Medical Scientist, Pharmacist, Nurse, Accountant, Banker, Business Executive, etc., to mention but a few, is mandated to use his influence of his profession to better himself and his people in any way deemed possible. Of course, this should be devoid of any sentiments whether: religious, ethnic, racial, etc,. The underlining factor here is on the emphasis for the ‘Impartation of Knowledge’.
YOUTH EMPLOYMENT:
Permit me to start this forum by quoting the popular cliché: “An idle man is the devils worship”. It is indeed very worrisome that the level of unemployment in our society today is on the increase. Young and vibrant graduates can no longer find their feet in the labour market. The Government on the other hand is not fully equipped in handling the unemployment scourge nowadays. So many policies have been drafted, but yet some of them lacked ’Modus Operandum’. The issue of unemployment requires a holistic approach; whereby, some level of parallel adjustment in the civil service workforce be made. Retirement is necessary in this regards for some unproductive, over-aged and tired personnel. Employment is mandatory for the teaming young, dynamic and constructive brains…, just out from tertiary institutions. Youth Employment is very vital, in order to maintain a society that is devoid of social menaces. In fact, I recommend that this should be given urgent attention, and provisions made for youths that are highly gifted and talented in some special areas of national priority and development.
VOLUNTEERISM:
The word itself conceals so much. Selfless service is all it takes to contribute your quota in the course of being given the opportunity to serve your society, community and your nation at large. More- often- than- not, the issue of service becomes a contemptuous one; and questions are often asked: whether there is anything like service without remuneration? Well…, it is very possible! I would like to recall of my various experiences serving in this regards without any defined form of remuneration per se. My foremost service was: NIGERIA ’99’, as an Accommodation Duty Officier/Volunteer in a Five Star Hotel; Secondly, GHANA/NIGERIA ‘2000’, as a Ceremonial Staff/Volunteer, covering Sports Complexes, Stadium, Designated Venues, etc.; Thirdly, ABUJA’2004’, as a COJA Workforce/Volunteer under Marketing (Merchandising) Department. With all these enumerated, getting accreditation can be tough at times. The process could be a bit stressful…, depending on your level of commitment to the volunteer service will of course, determine your painstaking ability to adapt and adjust too. I, personally enjoyed myself serving…, ‘cause it has given me the right attitude towards national service; also, the type of exposure acquired and challenges being faced with in contemporary society today.
